Busy Weekend Wanderings

For just one second, look at your life and see how perfect it is. Stop looking for the next secret door that is going to lead you to your real life. Stop waiting. This is it: there's nothing else. It is here and you'd better decide to enjoy it or you're gong to be miserable where ever you go, for the rest of your life, forever. --Lev Grossman

Things I am thankful for this past weekend:

A busy weekend helping the daughter and her husband move into their new place.

Uhaul truck in front of the house Saturday morning (snickering as neighbors driving by thinking that we were moving)

Box of donuts on counter

cups of coffee all along the counter

Daughters things are now with her...big smile

Trip over to Tukwila  for a new mattress

The husband brings back amazing sandwiches from Great Harvest in West Seattle

Cleaning out new place while the daughter and her hubby pack up old place

Unpack Uhaul truck into the wee hours of the night/morning

Hit the bed hard and thankful for a good night sleep

Sunday morning church...I slept through it all and husband was faithful

Drive over to West Seattle again to help daughter and her hubby

back over to the old place for last few items

Helped move some furniture at the new place

Happy for this daughter and her hubby and their new adventures

Oh and a great bar-b-q place right down the street from them...bonus points

we will be back... < snicker >

I think today is going to be a slow catch-up kind of day.

Starting this day out with some JOY just thinking of the fun weekend with this family.

Happy Monday blessings...

That is so nice that you helped your daughter move into her new place. It's hard enough having to clean the old place, let alone clean and prepare for a new one. But it's exciting, isn't it? I smiled when I read coffee and doughnuts, two of my favorite things. Now you can get some rest. : )
