Busy as a Bee

This pile has been haunting me!

It has been ultra busy around here as of lately. I have been gleaning ideas from a lot of the blogs on here, big mistake! I feel as though I am in creative over load right now! I started a blanket last month and thought for sure I'd be done by now. Just teaching myself how to crochet took a little time and practice, but I think I've got it down now. The blanket is thick, very warm and I can't wait to finish it up.

Problem is I keep adding more projects and they are now building up on me. As Penni says - "Make her Stooooop!" I laugh every time I hear her say that!

I have been trying to put together a year long curriculum for the Sunday school program at church to make teaching the little ones not only easier, but a blessing to both teachers and students as well. Not to mention I have been teaching on Sunday mornings again and that is pretty time consuming as well. I started a cross stitch project that is going to take a while to finish up and I hope I still want it after I am finished with it. I have been scrapbooking some more with friends and also was given a really cool gift I am duplicating for future gifts. I am going to post how to make it here soon - it is adorable! It is in the picture above with the ribbons hanging off the ends. Made out of coin envelopes. Thank-you Julie!

I have a stack of books I can't wait to finish up but have been working on study questions for the book we are doing together in our reading group.

Today I am working on a care package for Alison and her room mates and it is adorable - would love to share pictures but she reads this blog so not showing that one...lol

Sometimes it's hard for me to see the big picture and I tend to single out what is wrong with my life...not organized enough, to many things to do and not enough time to do it in, missing the kids around here all the time, time going by way to fast, overwhelmed by the paper work of our business and the office etc, etc, etc....

But I am learning to recognize that I will never be able to get this time back; I must enjoy every single day. I am finding myself not longing for the good old days as much anymore, because these really are the good old days, right here, right now!

So for now, I am truly enjoying this big pile of fun things and dropping the overwhelming feelings of not being caught up - for today anyway.

Oh, glad you're back! I was wondering how you were doing! :)
I agree - it's so easy to think about things like that, but these are the good old days, for sure. :)
I hope your mom is doing better! Hugs~

I found your blog on the Beth Moore followers and the title stopped me and made me laugh! I wish I had thought of that!

It's my opinion that very interesting people have a lot of things going on at once...that's what makes them interesting. I taught myself to knit about 2 years ago and am in the middle of my first hat. I made about 35 scarves before that, because it was back and forth knitting and I didn't trust myself to count. Besides, I couldn't figure out what SSK and K1K1P1 meant. Knitting secret code.

I love your crafts and am going to try the paperbag punkins with my kids next year.

Hope you have a great week!

I was wondering where you were. I know exactly how you feel about so many different things to do and to top it off I work full time so it makes it a little harder to accomplish things in a timely matter.

I tried to crochet but could not get a hang of it...maybe I need to try again and better yet get someone to do step by step. I tried with a book but I have figured out I can't do crafts without a visual aide.

Thank you for showing us your "pile 'o' stuff".
Now we know what we are anxiously waiting for. Can you take a picture of what you are mailing off and then post it after it has been received so we can all revel in your craftiness?? Please say yes....

Hello!
Well, I am glad to see that I am not the only one with a "pile". I have soooo many projects going on right now, and work, and and and. It does seem overwhelming at times. So I was so calmed to read your post and it caused to me to pause and remember to smell the roses. Thank you for that.
Hope all is well.
Hugs Karen

I laugh every time I picture Penni crying, "Make her Stop!!" too. That was so much fun. So nice to know someone as competitve as me. Can't wait to see what you're making. I'm resisting the urge to knit something. I always run amok once I start. I knitted Christmas presents 3 years ago and my hands are just starting to uncramp.
