To Laugh or to Jog... that is the question today....

The Bible school teacher asked, " Now Billy, tell me, do you say prayers before eating?" "No sir," he replied. "We don't have to. My mom is a good cook!"

I love to laugh and I especially love to be with others who make me laugh as well. I am convinced that one day soon, we will be reading how much better laughter is for us than exercise. I mean come on, who invented exercise and is it biblical? You know, the scripture that says that laughing is like a medicine? Maybe exercise is just a way to get you and I to buy those really expensive running shoes. Or what about the pricey running out fit I just bought. Or what about the expensive health clubs we belong to?

Why do our bodies need it? Mine has done just fine for years now with out it. I know our bodies are a temple of the Lord, but I need to see for myself where it is written that I am to exercise. Show me where Jesus jogged. We have no record of the Lord doing sit ups. None what so ever. I mean everywhere I look in the bible that talks about the Lords transportation, it says he walked or rode a donkey. And think about this, he didn't run on the water, it clearly states that he "walked" on the water. Even Paul said that exercise profited nothing. And I agree with him! I remember someone one time telling me that they would start jogging as soon as they passed by a runner on the road that was smiling. Now that is good sound advice!

I think I need to put my running shoes back inside the closet and go read some more of those funniest things kids say and laugh today instead of running. Ok, so maybe I should drop the Krispy Kreme donut into the garbage can on the way to my big cushy chair in the living room.

Love, Laugh and Live in His Light...hugsssssssssss

Brushing the crumbs from my face while handing Penni a donut along with a good laugh! (I'm thinking one laugh should really = one time around the block...?)

Isn't there a scripture that says Jesus ate? Well, maybe not, but it does talk about him reclining at table. I'm with you, there's nothing I've seen about Jesus jogged! Food - that's what makes me smile. :O) Oh yeah, and funny posts by Christine Lynn!
