A,B,C's of Thanksgiving........

It all came and went by so fast...the longest part of the whole event was the days and weeks of preparing for this one day of festivities. It was nice having all the kids home along with their friends and the family. I was so thankful for Alison's team mates for bringing her home for the week,....that saved me four hours of driving.

The kids were awesome with helping me get things ready for the big Thanksgiving gathering. While Andrew and I emptied out my dining room so that I could set up the big table for the guests, Alison created beautiful flower arrangements for all the tables as well as through out the house.

Right before dinner, we gathered all around my kitchen before praying and each one of us shared in the A,B,C's of Thanksgiving. I started with A, I am thankful for the "Abundance" we have in this country. The next person has to use the letter B. The word for B was Blessings,...and so on. We made it to the letter N. We need a few more guests to make it through the whole alphabet!...lol

Later on we had more friends and family stop over for Desserts and games, twenty five guest altogether. It was a lot of fun and I was so thankful for all the help I got from everyone! The kids all had a big Wii game going on in the family room and the dessert bar was loaded down with four apple desserts, Cranberry upside down cake, Cherry cobbler, three pumpkin pies, lemon cake and an Angel food cake oh yeah,.... and four cans of whip cream!

Andrew met up with us Saturday morning along with some of Alison's friends at Starbucks. I wished I had my camera. Alison and her friends built a very impressive tower out of our nine Starbucks cups not to mention about six others that were given to us by customers who were ready to throw their empty cups away and gave them to our table. Even the employees were rather impressed by the tower and art work of this creation!

A big thank you to Kelli from "There' no place like home" for my sweet gift in the mail. I won her give away contest and she sent me the sweetest materials to make a Christmas card with. Looking forward to a day of down time so I can make the card and get caught up on a few projects I have going on here.
Can't wait to share with you some of our families fun Christmas traditions! Starting this week with three balls of yarn.... I think you will enjoy it with your children as we have with ours,...see ya soon!

I have some questions about who is who with the cousins. There is a lady and a fellow that I don't recognize and I thought I knew who everyone was. I suppose it would be too much to put tighter labels on the cousins.
I am such a pain!!! I KNOW. It's been a lot of years.

Looks like you guys had a blast!!!! The pictures look like our family holidays a few years ago, now that most the grandkids are married or in college it doesn't look like that anymore... Soak it up!

I just couldn't get my mind around the fact those slightly older people were Debbie and Robbie. I haven't seen him since he was a kid. He's the one with the gray hoodie, right?
I love that picture of your Mom and Andrew. She really looks good there and it's such a sweet hug.
