Simple Womans Daybook / Simple devotion

FOR TODAY... January 14, 2009
Outside my window...Bright and sunny- yet cold.
I am thinking...There is no GOD like Jehovah!!!
I am thankful for...Gods spirit in my life.
From the kitchen...a sweet potato boiling in a pan in the kitchen for my lunch...it smells yummy.
I am wearing... Blue Jeans, WWU sweat shirt and warm slippers.
I am creating...Gifts for the families Valentine boxes and crafts for the Sunday school kids.
I am going...To run a few errands.
I am reading...re-reading "The Shack" for my book club
I am hoping...To check off everything from my to-do list today.
I am hearing...Twila Paris " All Things work together"
Around the house...Lots of fun and exciting things to work on, can't wait to get to them today!
One of my favorite things...My quiet time, right now.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Catch up on the laundry room, finish my blanket I have been working on, needle point project, read, catch up my office and filing.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...visitors from far away this past summer...good memories with them.

For Today...January 14, 2009

Dear Lord,

I bring you my shortcomings... Not staying on task
I bring you my worship and praise... Your name is lifted higher than any other name...
I bring you my prayer... that you would continue to bless our work and keep us busy

You spoke to me... through your precious children that you keep sending to me

I love Sweet Potatoes...you need a potato bag to steam your potatoes in the micro wave....
It's been a cold day, made a pot of chicken corn noodle soup...so yummy!

Hey, I know those munchkins! They sure had fun with Auntie Chris this summer (and everyone else too)! Thanks for always bringing some sunshine into my day with your sweet comments. Hey, book your trip early so you and Dave can be in the first group out on Dad's boat! Hugs! Jax
