Creme Brulee French Toast

This is kind of a tease since I do not have the time right now to type out and post this divine little recipe and share with you but I will post it for you next week when the college break is over. So for now you may drool over the picture I took of mine this morning, that is, before I devoured it!

This was the most amazing french toast we have ever had on our kitchen table...I kid you not! I was so excited about this dish that I even dragged my neighbor and brother into the house this morning to eat with us. ~ A very messy house, at that!

Now for some real Food:

I am taking a personal journey and am going to work very hard at memorizing two verses a week from the book of Colossians, starting today, in chapter one, verses one and two.

I have found that when I write things down and hold myself accountable to others in my life that I tend to, not only follow through, but I have way more success at meeting my goals. I am one who tends to lack in discipline and I want to see this through as I have been, as of late, very convicted by the Spirit to putting more of His word into my memory banks and not always relying on having my bible on hand or Google.

I teach a couple class at church as well and will be having them help me stay accountable as well. I guess you could say I am covering all my bases!

I want His loving word planted with in my heart. I have always given the excuse that I just have a bad memory. I know, lame excuse.

I am going to dedicate my Wednesdays on here as " Wednesdays Word." If you have a scripture that you are putting to memory swing on by and share it with me, not only the scripture, but any insights into the verse that you are memorizing and any tips on how and what has helped you be successful with memorizing His precious word, that is if you have the time and or remember. And if you write yours in a blog come back and share the link so that, I too, can visit and spur you on as well.

I want the habit of Christ into my life.

So therefore I want to...

Commit His Word to heart.

Stepping out of the soft and safe feeling of the warm sand and planting my feet into the concrete of His word.

Col. 1:1-2 Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father.

This practice of memorizing the Scriptures is more important than a daily quiet time, for as we fill our minds with these great passages and have them available for our meditation, “quiet time” takes over the entirety of our lives.

God’s word to Joshua, as he undertook the great task before him, was, “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success” (Josh. 1:8, NASB)….

But how does the law get in your mouth? By memorization, of course. It becomes an essential part of how we think about everything else as we dwell on it…This is the true education for ministry and for life.” ~Dallas Willard

Well I can not think of a better way to end this little note here with you than this ~

Grace to you and peace from God our Father.

Hi Christine - I'm so happy to find your blog via my good friend Cindy's blog. (and btw, I loved your comment on her post today)
Love your blog title too, it reminds me of CS Lewis's quote about the job of a homemaker being a bit like that of Sisyphus.
And those recipe look wonderful!!
Blessings!
