Easy {Home-made} Rocky Road Ice Cream

 This is {way} to easy to make... so take this as your warning {right} now!

 Got home from work early the other day and so instead of grabbing my book, sitting down and relaxing I decided to make a fun summer dinner and of course.... dessert!

 The very next day; invited some friends over for lunch..... the very,very next day..I have got to get rid of this... fast! {smiling}

I didn't take pictures of the process, (I know, what was I thinking?  In the kitchen with out my camera?) but I think you will find it very easy to make with out me walking you through it.

 {Although}

I need to mention this right here and now, so that you don't overdo it here...1/2 cup of this equals 23 g of fat...{just saying}  right up front here.  I kept my portion at about 1/4 cup and added and extra lap around my neighborhood.

{It was well worth it!}

 This is smooth, creamy and absolutely out of this world fantastic ice cream.... and the best part.... you do not need an ice cream maker, in order to make this!

And it is very quick to make.

So for family night dinner or maybe a fancy little girlfriends over for lunch party, I highly recommend this recipe!

Ingredients:
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup chocolate syrup
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped salted peanuts

Directions:

In a small bowl, combine the milk and chocolate syrup; set aside. In a large bowl, beat the cream until peaks form. Fold in the chocolate mixture, marshmallows, chocolate chips and peanuts.
Transfer to a freezer proof container; cover and freeze for 5 hours or until firm.
 Remove from freezer and serve it up!

(Gleaned this recipe from Taste of Home)

  I am busy planting flowers in the gardens, window boxes and planters today. I really wanted to attack our bedroom closet, that feels like it is going to swallow us up every time we walk into it...but it is way to hard to be inside when the weather is so gorgeous outside. So, the hungry scary closet will have to wait for the next rainy day.

I hope that your day is full of blessings and most of all..... thankfulness for everything around you.

Thankful for...

flowers ready to be planted in earth
big old green watering can
books of the bible on CD
the smell of cut green grass
neighbors who are now coming to church with us
a healing mom
children who I continue to be blessed by

Yes, your last one on the Thankful list...Jesus all around me. He is always there for me, and oh, how I love him. I saw your rocky road icecream on my side bar, and just had to come over and see. Rocky Road is my favorite....but I have to say, I've never had it homemade.
