What an adorable idea! I just don't have that creative of a mind, but I'm glad other people do cause it sure is fun to see it. The kids and I did a little decorating last night. It was fun. It's not elaborate at all, but it makes a festive statement. lol.
noooooo I didn't make this...yet!...lol I am looking for pumpkins now to make this little bear for my front yard. If I'd of made this I'd of been bragging all over this page! I found this on some magazine site that I now can't find! But I copied and pasted a lot of the pumpkin ideas thinking I could re-create it! I so fell in love with this little bear though!
Todd just mentioned Dutch Babies to me recently. He asked me for the recipe. See what happens when Mom moves away......they get hungry for the good old memory food.
On Friday evenings we'd have what we called surprise chef night and we'd ask different people over to teach the kids how to cook different meals that the chef came up with, mostly did this for Andrew and his friend Jeffery who were both very interested in cooking at the time, I might add right here that Jeff is now a chef himself, anyways my dad came over for one of the cooking nights and taught them both how to make the dutch babies. Very fun!
The first time I had Dutch babies was when I took my son Mark to Portland for a youth rally. I stayed with a very nice lady named Kathy and she had a college student that was living with her. She made me Dutch babies and called them puff pancakes......oh yah, that was you. I've made them ever since.
Could that ant be any cuter??? Now I want to make one or two or three for the dinner I'm cooking for the ladies at church on Saturday night. Swap and dinner night. Bring your unwanted clothes, shoes, accessories, books, cd's, and put them on big tables and swap with someone. Everyone loves going home with "new" stuff.
The nice thing about these little critters is that when you are done just cook 'em on up and have them for dinner...lol I'd forgotten Kathy called them puff pancakes...I'm sure I tried to correct her on that one...lol
