Call from the daughter...

Alison is in College and as we all know most colleges are pretty liberal. This was her first time ever voting and she was pretty disappointed that our guy didn't make it to the White House. I guess she was awakened to dancing and screaming in the streets last night.

So here is what I'd like to say to you daughter of mine....

Yes, we can be sad that things went down as they did, but God is and always will be in control. This was your first time ever to vote and you voted to defend the sanctity of human life, to support the institution of traditional marriage, to protect the country from terrorism and advance the cause of religious liberty, and you trusted God enough to take care of our financial needs. If you want to read about kingdoms who voted men in for financial security and ignored their Godly morals,then swing on over and revisit Kings and see how God dealt with his people over there. One thing about our God is, you always know where he stands on moral issues.

As I sit here and type this out Alison, take it from me, your sad feelings are real feelings don't ever ignore them. But know this, you voted with a clear conscious and decided as a believer to vote your morals, and and let God take care of the rest and for that,....you have nothing to be sad about what so ever!

Your hands are clean!

I Love you so much and I am so incredibly proud of you along with your brothers for standing up to what was right in Gods eyes! He is smiling at His children who took a stand for Him right now, That I know for sure!

So I say cheer up sweet daughter, I sneaked ahead and took a peek in the final chapter and in the end, it says,...God wins!

Love you forever,

Mom =o)

When you really think about all of the tough times we go through here on earth, isn't it so breathtaking to have a God who is truly always there to put a positive spin on things in our lives! God is so Good, All the Time!

what great mom advice :) thank you, for commenting at my blog--I thought I'd pop over here and see what you had to say--loved it! My oldest daughter also plays volleyball in college and is having knee surgery after the first of the year--so I am encouraged to see the photo you posted of your daughter playing post-op.
You have lovely scrapbook creations as well...I aspire to that from time to time--but rarely HAVE the time :)
