The Simple Woman

For today... Monday, January 3, 2011


Outside my window... The sun is out but baby it is cold out side.


I am thinking... That tomorrow I will take down the tree...saving this time today to spend with the kids before they take off for College again.

I am thankful for... My husband, three children, family, friends and our church family.

From the learning rooms... Working on the book of Esther for the ladies bible study and also looking over a study we will be doing after the Esther study ends.

From the kitchen... Pies in a jar for the daughter to take back to school with her.

I am wearing... Sweat pants suit and warm fluffy slippers.

I am creating... tea cup flower arrangements for our ladies bible study group, "Tea cups and slippers" brunch at my home this month.


I am going... Spend the day with the family.

I am reading... Just finished up Crazy Love by Francis Chan and now starting a,"Woman after Gods own heart" by Elizabeth George.

I am praying for... My Children and that their walk with the Lord would be a close relationship until the end.

Pondering these words... eternal


I am STILL hoping... for a good year and continued contentment.


I am hearing... Elliot and Alison laughing down stairs as she is cutting his hair... and Dave on the phone with a friend who is trying to talk us into a trip to New Mexico with he and his wife.


Around the house... A lot of Holiday messes that need to be cleaned up...I'll get to them after the kids are gone.


One of my favorite things... Being with my family and dear friends.


A few plans for the rest of the week... Coffee with some friends, trip to visit my cousin, a week end get away with the hubby, and deep cleaning this Holiday home.
