Cream Scones and Coffee

Cream Scones and home made raspberry Jam

I believe that ~ we are all~ to share~ all things good~ that come our way~ with those we love! Not to mention, it is not good for my waist line to have heavy cream scones, fresh out of the oven, and no one to share them with. This would be one of those temptation beyond what I could endure and it would take more laps around my neighborhood then I could possibly walk.

This is Mary, Colleen and Holly whom I adore and very much love being around. They ~ along with these scones and a good cup of coffee, make me happy!

Adam and Elliot

We were at Starbucks, minding our own business~ while I am sure~ talking about someone
else's own business, when out of the blue... these two showed up.

I think that it would be nice for you to make up a batch of these yummy scones, with some special friends in mind, meet up at one of your favorite little coffee shops and treat one another to some fun fellowship, good food and a hot cup of coffee. I will help get you started here with the recipe....

Cream Scones

2 1/2 C flour
3 1/2 t. baking powder
3 T sugar
1/2 t salt
5 T butter
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 C heavy cream

Combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a mixing bowl. Cut in butter, stir in eggs and cream. Turn out dough onto floured board and knead briefly. Roll out to 1-inch thick 2 inch rounds, cut into triangles, like you are cutting a pizza. Place on a baking sheet and bake scones in a preheated 400 degree oven for about 15 minutes or until tops are brown.

Serve warm.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work; If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
