Home...

As I was cleaning off the deck outside for our summer time use, I noticed the candle on the out side table had taken on a whole new form.

These were two citronella candles that I'd randomly poked into a pot I had been growing some garlic in that I had placed on our table out side on the deck. As you can clearly see, the one candle on the right, has melted as a result of some very hot days we have been having here in the NW.

At first ~ I was a little annoyed at the very fact this had happened since now, I am unable to burn this candle.

As I sat here with my cup of coffee looking at it, it dawned on me, that this looks like an 'h." The first words that came to mind were, 'heaven and home.' I don't know about you, but if heaven ain't my home, I don't think I'd know what to do here on earth any more. There is a verse in Philippians 3:20 that immediately came to my mind: For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

A blog friend of mine on here ,Connie, kind of gave me this idea of taking pictures of objects that look like letters of the alphabet. She took her letters and formed a word and framed it for a loved one. I am going to take these four letters and individually frame them and hang them over a table I have in my entry way with this verse on it out of Philippians. I am thinking I might do a black and white with black and white frame and mat. I'll post the pictures of the finished product when I get them developed and framed. Here are the rest of the letters to my word.

Some berries from our garden make the perfect 'O'...

Some lavender from my garden along with a couple crosses a sweet sister, Dayna, gave each one of us at bible study last week along with two of our memory verses that make up the letter 'M'...

And last, but not least, the letter 'E' is on my patio out back with some pots I just finished cleaning up for planting.

So there you go....home...my home, that I eagerly wait for, is heaven and I hope that one day soon I see each and everyone of you there!
